It seems that it's not the modern way to make tea~~~accroding to the pictures I doubt it is the reflection of JIancha which is popular in Tang dynasty~~~~~~~~~~

Such ceremonies were held in Hangzhou? Why didn't I know~~~~~~~~~~~~:Q :Q :Q

Maybe there's some more pictures and reports on Art of Tea if we look for them. What if we make a collection? That will sound nice I bet.

This is really a very ancient way to make tea~~~~~~~~~~~It is first seen in the <Tea Bible:lol >《茶經》 written by Lu Yu~~~~~~~~

Recently I am Studying this tea theory~~~I hope one day I can show the complete process to others~~~~~~

Yeah it's trully ancient. We never see anyone cooking the tea leaves instantly before presenting its art:lol

Actually what they cook is tea powders~~~~~~~~~~:lol

Ancient people grind the tea leaves to powders before cooking them. In Tang Dynasty the powders look like black rice~~~~~~~~~

I guess the taste of this kind of tea may not be very good, so people drop it later. No doubt that tea made by the modern way has the bese taste, but the ancient ceremonies have their own deep meanings~~~~~~~~~

Green tea is the principal variety turned out there, but Shaanxi and Gansu provinces, which are also parts of this area. produce compressed tea for supply to the minority areas in the Northwest
